| Welcome I am proud to have represented Knowsley North and Sefton East and, prior to that, Knowsley North for 20 years. I have lived almost all my life in the area, was educated in Huyton and at Kirkby College and am committed to working with Knowsley and Sefton Councils, our government and our community. Over the last eleven years we have made significant progress to overcome the many years of disadvantage we suffered under the Tories. The issues I take up in Parliament are those that concern local people - housing, industrial pollution, health, transport, education and crime and disorder, as well as dealing with the thousands of individual problems that people experience. I hope you will find this website useful to learn more about my work in Westminster and the constituency. I welcome your views and feedback.
